The digital campaign for Move to the Beat of London 2012 engages teens around the world through music, sports and social media to join the biggest collaboration in musical history: the Global Beat. The website follows International producer Mark Ronson as he travels the globe recording the sounds of world-class athletes training for the Olympics to create “Anywhere in the World,” the Coca-Cola anthem for the London Olympics.

Teens visiting the site extend Mark’s journey by creating their own versions of the track based on the rhythm of their social activities. First, Facebook activities (friends, comments, likes, shares and check-ins) are measured and used to modulate the original baseline of Mark Ronson’s track. Next, a keyword search of wall posts determines musical and sports preferences and these are validated likes in Spotify. A preferred musical genre is determined, sounds of sport are added and a customized track is created, unique to each and every user. The site displays the tracks as personal music videos, incorporating pictures from users’ Facebook albums. These videos are entirely shareable and can be heard and played individually in the Global Beat. As beats and videos are added, the Global Beat becomes a never-ending soundtrack of teens’ social movement worldwide.

The project has been running since October 2011 and completed in May 2012. It's a a global, multi-lingual, high-visibility, socially integrated experience that at the same time is personalized to individual users.
