Goldman Sachs needed to create a mobile experience to attract and engage potential campus hire recruits. They wanted to prepare students for every stage of the recruitment process via a seamless integration of mobile, social and web based content. Most importantly, Goldman requested an elegant digital solution integrating their recruiting database to allow for students to learn about on-campus events. To address these needs, we created the Make an Impact App, which allows students to create a profile, add on-campus events to their native calendar, and then check-in and share those events. To help students make a real impact on Goldman Sachs recruiters, we added functionality to research internship and career paths, watch employee interviews, follow Goldman’s career blog and Twitter posts, refine their interview skills and track their progress via a gamified Preparedness Meter. The Preparedness Meter is a custom algorithm that calculates scores on a scale of 0-100, plus extra credit. To date, Goldman Sachs reports 1,816 downloads of the Impact App and 59,717 page views by prospective hires.
