The G-Force app is an iOS / iPad application specifically built for Gatorade sales reps to use in the field with retail B2B clients. The application provides a beautifully designed and intuitive interface that allows for an interactive two-way conversation serving both the rep and client. The sales rep has access to their unique list of clients and details including phone number, address, notes, and directions. Customers are able to interact with product information, education materials, and nutrition facts, all while given the ability to add products to the cart and perform a credit card transaction immediately.
Many of Gatorade’s small retail clients do not have the privilege of mass distribution or credit that larger grocery and convenience stores have. This unique set of clients previously had to use a very unappealing and stale e-commerce process for ordering Gatorade products. Our challenge was to design an all-in-one sales tool that enabled Gatorade sales reps to perform face-to-face transactions that were personal, informative, and reinforced the cutting edge nature of the brand. Our main objective was to take an innovational approach to B2B that utilized multiple technologies delivered on a seamless platform. Integrating on-the-fly e-commerce with an already established in-person relationship not only built credibility to the G Force Reps, but it filled many gaps in the ordering process. The user experience discovery approach included the following activities and tasks to yield the resulting architecture and interface design that comprises the current experience. •Stakeholder interviews •G Force Street Team •Gatorade Financial •Retail Marketing •International Team •Pepsi Direct •Transactional Partners •Gatorade Digital Marketing •Strategic planning and approach •iOS Human Interface Guidelines •Nielsen Norman Group Ecommerce Ux •Competitive Evaluation •Transactional Partner Exploration •User Experience planning and design •Site Map •Information ar
