Nearly a decade after Suka produced the Pollock-Krasner Foundation’s 1st website, Suka was invited back to bring the site into 21st century
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Inc. was established in 1985 for the sole purpose of providing financial assistance to individual visual artists of established ability through the generosity of the late Lee Krasner, one of the leading abstract expressionist painters and the widow of Jackson Pollock.
Nearly a decade after Suka produced the Pollock-Krasner Foundation’s first website, Suka was invited back and given the opportunity to propel the Foundation’s site into the 21st century with a total redesign. Eager to showcase their grantees’ artwork as well as the works of the late Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, Suka was engaged by the Foundation to create a website that presents various pieces of art, of all mediums, in a captivating and dynamic way.
- Why this project is worthy of a UX Award:
Suka modernized the Pollock-Krasner Foundation’s website by leveraging elements of the Foundation’s existing brand identity and updating the look and feel of the site with a contemporary user-interface visual design system, streamlined site navigation for visitors, and responsive-web design principles so the site can be accessed across all modern devices and platforms anywhere at anytime. The new site runs on a custom-built Wordpress theme, unique to the Pollock-Krasner Foundation’s needs, and offers flexibility and easy management when publishing and updating content.
