Our team wants to address three common issues of daily life: communication, navigation, and organization, through an app and assistive device combination. Our app will serve as a daily planner allowing one to customize events, contact information, and location availability so that he or she can adjust the app as he or she goes about his or her day.

Our team wants to address three common issues of daily life: communication, navigation, and organization, through an app and assistive device combination. Our app will serve as a daily planner allowing one to customize events, contact information, and location availability so that he or she can adjust the app as he or she goes about his or her day. Each task will show a time and address and offer to show the user step-by-step directions to its location as well as a few preset contacts in the event that something goes wrong. The user will be able to call or text whomever he or she needs without ever leaving our application. This app pairs nicely with the assistive device, which serves multiple purposes. First, the BuzzBand will vibrate if the user has an event coming up, he or she needs to take the next step in his directions, or one of his or her preset contacts is calling him or her. This will lower the risk of the user losing focus of where he or she is going or what he or she needs to do next. The band will not only vibrate, but also light up a symbol based on what the notification is regarding. It is important to note that the band will only vibrate if the phone screen is locked, meaning that the user is not focused on it at that time. The customizability of the app and its assistive device allows for it to be marketed across groups of age, ethnicity, gender, and disability. BuzzMe allows the user to access multiple resources in one simple interface. By directly solving three common issues, the app can be used by a wide variety of people. The tools utilized and laid out in BuzzMe are applicable to any situation.
